Nutrition, Calories & Allergens
Maison Tuileries is committed to providing clear and reliable information about the food and beverages we serve. Nutrition and allergen information must be based on verified recipes, ingredients, supplier specifications and approved calculations — never on guesses.
Calories
Saudi food establishments are required to display calorie information on menus, including electronic menus where applicable. Nutritional information, where provided, is based on verified recipes, serving sizes, supplier information and recognised calculation or validation methods. Nutritional information may not yet be available for every item.
General statement: Adults need approximately 2,000 calories on average per day; individual calorie needs may vary.
Physical-activity information
Where required by the applicable SFDA menu rules, each product/menu item should also display the estimated physical-activity time corresponding to its calorie content, once the underlying calorie figure is verified.
Caffeine
For beverages containing caffeine, the applicable menu displays verified caffeine content in the required format (for example mg per cup and/or per 100 ml as applicable) once verified.
General reference for adult consumers: the recommended maximum daily caffeine intake for adults is 400 mg. Individual needs and medical advice may differ.
High-salt indicator
Where an item meets the regulatory threshold for high salt/sodium, the appropriate SFDA high-salt indicator is shown on the physical/electronic menu and online ordering interface once verified.
Allergens
Maison Tuileries tracks the following 14 major allergen groups used in Saudi menu disclosure:
- Cereals containing gluten
- Crustaceans
- Eggs
- Fish
- Peanuts
- Soybeans
- Milk
- Tree nuts
- Celery
- Mustard
- Sesame
- Sulphites
- Lupin
- Molluscs
Each product page displays the verified allergens relevant to that item.
Cross-contact and serious allergies
Maison Tuileries is a working bakery/café environment in which multiple allergens may be handled. Unless a specific product/process is expressly verified otherwise, customers with a serious allergy should not assume an absence of cross-contact risk solely because an allergen is not intentionally included in the recipe.
If you have a serious food allergy, tell our team before ordering and again at collection where appropriate so we can provide the information available about the product and preparation environment.
Ingredient and recipe changes
Recipes, suppliers and ingredient specifications may change. The verified product information is updated whenever a change can affect calories, caffeine, salt status or allergen disclosure.
How Maison Tuileries calculates and verifies nutrition data
Our process:
- lock the current recipe and portion/variant weights;
- collect verified supplier nutrition specifications for every ingredient;
- calculate the recipe and serving values using an approved professional method/tool, including available SFDA calculators where applicable;
- calculate separate values for materially different product sizes/variants;
- verify caffeine using actual beverage recipe and supplier data;
- verify sodium/salt and apply the regulatory high-salt flag where required;
- derive the SFDA physical-activity label from the verified calorie figure according to the applicable technical regulation;
- record source, verifier and verification date;
- use laboratory analysis or a qualified nutrition specialist where recipe/supplier calculation is insufficient or legally/operationally required;
- republish/update the product immediately after a material recipe change.
